Is Ban Chao a good general in Evony?

Chao is a pure Evony Duty General. He is an Archer Tower Officer. He is a must for a strong defense, giving your ranged defense a huge attack boost. He also adds a debuff to enemy-mounted troops when in the Archer Tower.

Although Ban Chao is inferior to the other Tower Officer Duty General, Maurice of Nassau, he makes a great option for low-spending players as he is available in the Tavern.

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Western Regions

Reduces enemy mounted troops’ attack by 20% and increases your in city ranged troops’ attack by 20% when General is the Archer Tower Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Ban Chao will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Archer Tower Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +15% and HP +15%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Archer Tower Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +15%, Archer Tower Attack +20%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Archer Tower Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine HP +15%, Training Capacity +5%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Archer Tower Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +20% and HP +20%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Archer Tower Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +10%, Defense and HP +15%.

Ban Chao – Specialities

As a pure Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building.
