Is Andre Massena a good general in Evony?

Andre Massena is at his best when used as Mounted General and despite not being able to take a Mounted Attack Skill Book, he is still one of the best in Evony at this role. In addition, due to his buffs being active in all scenarios, he also makes an excellent Mounted Defense General.

This is driven by his Special Skill, Dear Child of Victory, which makes up for the lack of an Attack Skill Book with a huge buff to March Size and Mounted Attack. Indeed, it adds 12% to March Size for huge rally potential and a game-changing 45% to the attack of Mounted Troops!

Dear Child of Victory

Increases the March Size by 12% and mounted troops’ attack by 45% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Andre Massena will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +10% and Defense +10%.
• 2 Star – Enemy In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack +15%.
• 4 Star – Mounted Troop Defense +55%.
• 5 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +25%, Mounted Troop HP and Defense +15%.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP – Mounted HP +25%

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP – Mounted HP +25%

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.
