Is Henry IV a good general in Evony?

As far as Evony Generals go, Henry IV is hard to beat in terms of the raw power he provides to Mounted Troops in both attack and defense. In addition, he can also do a somewhat decent job with Ground Troops, marking him as one of the more versatile Generals in the game and a good option for those wishing to run a mixed Ground and Mounted Troop march. His Special Skill, Good King Henry, encapsulates this with a 55% buff to the attack and HP of Mounted Troops and a further 40% buff to the defense of both Mounted Troops and Ground Troops.

Henry IV – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Good King Henry

Increases mounted troops’ attack and HP by 55% and increases ground troops and mounted troops’ defense by 40% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Henry IV will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 2 Star – Attacking Troop Death into Wounded Rate +8%
• 3 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +20%, Mounted Troop and Ground Troop HP +25%
• 4 Star – Attacking Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack and Defense +25%
• 5 Star – Mounted Troop Attack and Defense +40%, March Size Capacity +8%

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.

This build focuses everything on a huge mounted troop defense. It is only useful in certain scenarios, such as when getting attacked by a heavy ground march.
