Is Napoleon a good general in Evony?

One of the best Siege Generals in the game, Napoleon has a huge Siege Machine attack once all specialties have been maxed out. In addition, he can be used as a Ranged PvP General, however, there are several better options here.

Most of his attack buff is only active when attacking, so he should not be used as a Defense General.

Napoleon – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Invincible Emperor of France

Increases Troop Attack by 10% and increases Siege Machine Attack by 20% when General is the leading the army to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Napoleon will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Troops Attack +5%.
• 2 Star – Enemy In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – When General is launching Alliance War, Rally Capacity +8%.
• 4 Star – Marching Troops Defense +20%.
• 5 Star – Marching Troops Attack +5%, Extra +20% for Siege Machine.

Napoleon – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Siege PvP

Everything for this build is focused on improving a very heavy siege march. This is likely only viable for heavy spenders as the gem repair cost could be very high.

However, it is particularly potent and will cause huge damage to the enemy.

• Skill Books:
• Lvl 4 Siege Machine Attack – Siege Attack +25%
• Lvl 4 Siege Machine Range Bonus – Siege Machine Range +200
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:
• Axe – Siege Machine Attack % x4
• Armor – Siege Machine Defense % x4
• Boots – Siege Machine Defense % x4
• Helmet – Siege Machine HP % x4
• Leg Armor – Siege Machine HP % x4
• Ring – Siege Machine Attack % x4

Siege and Ranged PvP

Although not quite as damaging as a pure siege march, this mixes in ranged troops and will keep your siege repair costs lower.

The siege machines will also be effective at reducing the enemy numbers that your ranged troops will face by taking them out at a greater range.
