Is Hestia a good general in Evony?

Hestia is easily one of the best in the game when it comes to taking control of Mounted Troops. Indeed, that spans from hunting monsters to leading powerful Mounted PvP attacks. This is all driven by her amazing Special Skill, Dance of the Sacred Fire, which adds 45% to Mounted Troop attack and defense and a further 40% to Ground and Mounted HP when she brings any Dragon or Spiritual Beast to attack. Although these buffs are only active in attack, if you max her out, she can also be a great choice as a Defense General with her incredible Specialties, Ascensions, and Covenants, making up for this shortfall.

Hestia – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Dance of the Sacred Fire

Increases mounted troops’ attack and defense by 45% when General is leading the army to attack. Increases ground troops and mounted troops’ HP by 40% when General brings any Dragon or Spiritual Beast to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Hestia will receive to her Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +8%.
• 3 Star – Marching Mounted Troop Attack +20% and Defense +20%.
• 4 Star – Marching Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +10% and Defense +10%.
• 5 Star – Marching Mounted Troop Attack and Defense +20%, March Size Capacity +10%.

Hestia – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.
