Is Mouri Motonari a good general in Evony?

Mouri Motonari is a real all-rounder when it comes to Mounted Troops, and he’ll do an excellent job for you in each role wether that be Mounted PvP, Defense, or Monster Hunting. His Special Skill, God of Strategy, is the foundation of this, with it adding 55% to mounted attack and defense and 35% to their HP. He is also somewhat ok with Ground Troops, allowing you to lead a pretty effective mixed march, though your Mounted Troops should always be the dominant force.

God of Strategy

Increases mounted troops’ attack and defense by 55% and ground troops and mounted troops’ HP by 35% when General is leading the army

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.

This build focuses everything on a huge mounted troop defense. It is only useful in certain scenarios, such as when getting attacked by a heavy ground march.
