Is Stephen I of Hungary a good general in Evony?

Stephen I of Hungary has a huge Mounted Troop attack and HP buff of 60% straight from his Special Skill, Saint Stephen, which also adds 45% to their defense. However, this is only active in attack, ruling him out as a Defense General. In terms of his viability versus other premium options for PvP and Monster Hunting, he is let down a little with the rest of his kit, which is a bit weaker than other options, but as a straight out of the box General, he works well.

Increases mounted troops’ attack and HP by 60% and increases mounted troops’ defense by 45% when General is leading the army to attack.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.
