Is Jiang Ziya a good general in Evony?

Jiang Ziya is a great option if you need a Barracks Officer Duty General. When assigned to the Barracks, his Special Skill, Six Secret Teachings, adds 10% to Ground Troop attack and an additional 15% to their HP and Defense. Unfortunately, his availability does make him difficult to Ascend, but if you are able to the additional buffs from this are also huge!

Six Secret Teachings

Increases ground troops’ attack by 10% and ground troops’ defense and HP by 15% when General is the Barracks Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Jiang Ziya will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Barracks Officer, In-city Troops Defense +15% and HP +15%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Barracks Officer, Ground Troop Training Speed +30%, Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense -30%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Barracks Officer, Ground Troop Training Capacity +30%, Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP -30%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Barracks Officer, In-city Troops Defense +25% and HP +25%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Barracks Officer, Ground Troop Attack +15%, Defense and HP +15%.
