Is Otto the Great a good general in Evony?

Otto the Great is a pure Evony Duty General. He is a Trap Factory Officer. His skill increases in-city siege machines’ attack and decreases enemy ranged attack when placed on duty in the Trap Factory.

He is a great option for when you are taking part in PvP and a better option than the other Trap Factory Officer, Askia Muhammad I.

Otto the Great – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Empire Defender

Increases in-city siege machines’ attack by 30% and reduces enemy ranged troops’ attack by 15% when General is the Trap Factory Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Otto the Great will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Trap Factory Officer, In-city Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +30%, Enemy Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack -10%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Trap Factory Officer, Damaged Siege Machine Capacity +50%, Enemy Troop Defense -15%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Trap Factory Officer, Trap Building Speed +30%, Enemy Troop HP -15%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Trap Factory Officer, In-city Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP +30%, Enemy Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack -15%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Trap Factory Officer, In-city Siege Machine Attack +20%, In-city Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense and HP +30%.

Otto the Great – Builds

As a pure Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building. You should instead focus on cultivation to improve their duty rank. See our Evony General Guide for more details.
