Is Wallenstein a good general in Evony?

Wallenstein is a premium option when it comes to Evony Ranged PvP. When fully developed his Ranged Attack is monstrous and he has the added bonus of a buff to rally capacity. This is huge for when you are trying to take down a big player with your alliance.

However, he really only suits high spenders due to largely only being available by spending money. This will make ascending him quite difficult and he also relies on his final specialty to add a further 40% ranged attack to his buff. Overall, if you are a low-spender/F2P player, you are better off choosing someone else and selecting Wallenstein as an Assistant General.

In addition, although Wallenstein does rank well in terms of an Evony Defense General, this role should be avoided for him. It again purely relies on you completing his final specialty which will take a lot of resources. You are better off going with one of the other options.

Wallenstein – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Bohemian Pioneer

Increases ranged troops’ attack by 25% when General is leading the army to attack. Increases Rally Capacity by 10% when General is leading the army to launch Alliance War.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Wallenstein will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ranged Troop Attack +10% and Defense +20%.
• 2 Star – Increases In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – March Size Capacity +14%.
• 4 Star – Marching Ranged Troop Attack +10% an HP +30%.
• 5 Star – Marching Ranged Troop Attack +15%, Marching Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense and HP +10%.

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ranged PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very range heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ranged attack whilst also topping up ranged troop HP and Defense via equipment refines.

This build will ensure you do maximum damage, especially in the early game when players are quite mounted heavy. You can alternatively swap March Size for Ranged Troop HP if you want to give your Ranged troops a bit more durability.
