Is Zhang Liang a good general in Evony?

When it comes to finding a great Rally Spot Duty General, you cannot go wrong with Zhang Liang. In particular, he is ideal if you like to run heavy Ground Troop marches due to the buffs he generates here from his Special Skill and Specialities when on duty at the Rally Spot.

In addition, if you are able to Ascend him, then he can also be a great asset for Defense due to the buffs his Ascended Skills give to In-city troops. Unfortunately, he is only available via spending, and therefore this may be difficult to achieve.

Zhang Liang – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Sage of Strategy

Increases March Size by 8% and attacking ground troops and mounted troops’ attack and HP by 15% when General is the Rally Spot Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Zhang Liang will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Rally Spot Officer, In-city Troops Defense and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Rally Spot Officer, March Speed +15%, In-city Troops Attack +10%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Rally Spot Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense and HP +25%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Rally Spot Officer, In-city Troops Defense and HP +20%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Rally Spot Officer, Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +10%, Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense and HP +15%.

As a pure Evony Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building.
