Is Eleanor a good general in Evony?

Eleanor is a very powerful Ranged PvP General with one of the highest Ranged Troop attack and defense buffs in the game. Indeed, her Special Skill, Great Captainess, increases ranged attack and defense by 35% and march size by 10%. This is great for a Special Skill as it requires no further investment to achieve. However, it should be noted that these buffs are only active when she is attacking.

In addition to the above, it is also worth highlighting her prowess as a mixed Ranged Troop and Siege Machine attack General. However, the buffs to Siege Machines only come through her Ascension Skills and Specialities, therefore making it quite costly to achieve. In particular, her final Speciality, Battle of Siren Island, adds an impressive +40% to Siege Machine attack.

Eleanor – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Increases ranged troops’ attack and defense by 35% and March Size by 10% when General is leading the army to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Eleanor will receive to her Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Enemy In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – When General is launching Alliance War, Rally Capacity +8%.
• 4 Star – Marching Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +10% and Defense +15%.
• 5 Star – Marching Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +15% and HP +15%.

Eleanor – Specialities

Ranged PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very range heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ranged attack whilst also topping up ranged troop HP and Defense via equipment refines. This build will ensure you do maximum damage, especially in the early game when players are quite mounted heavy.

• Lvl 4 Ranged Troop Attack – Ranged Attack +25%
• Lvl 4 Ranged Troop Range Bonus – Ranged Troop Range +100
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:
• Bow – Ranged Troop Attack % x4

• Helmet – Ranged Troop HP % x4
• Leg Armor – Ranged Troop HP % x4

Siege and Ranged PvP

Due to this general’s buff to both ranged troops and siege machines, it can be a good play to run a mixed march with both troop types in certain scenarios. This build will work well for these situations. Siege range is prioritized over siege attack as siege attack is already very high with the additional range giving you some extra attacks before the enemy has you in their range.
