Is Champlain a good general in Evony?

Champlain does an excellent job as a lead Siege PvP General driven by a kit that is entirely dedicated towards this Troop Type. Straight away, he can do a good job with little to no development. This is driven by his Special Skill, Father of New France, which adds 50% to Siege Machine attack and HP and a further 40% to their defense. Further to this, he has no Skill Book restrictions to speak of. You can also use him as a Siege Defense General due to his buffs being active in both defense and attack. Finally, whilst he does offer some buffs to Ranged Troops, these are relatively weak and you are better selecting another General for Ranged PvP.

Champlain – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Father of New France

Increases siege machines’ attack and HP by 50% and ranged troops and siege machines’ defense by 40% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Champlain will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Siege Machine Attack +10% and HP +15%.
• 2 Star – Attacking Troop Death into Wounded Rate +8%.
• 3 Star – Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +15% and Defense +15%.
• 4 Star – Siege Machine Attack +20% and HP +20%.
• 5 Star – Siege Machine Attack +25%, Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense and HP +25%.

Siege PvP

Everything for this build is focused on improving a very heavy siege march. This is likely only viable for big spenders as the gem repair cost could be very high. However, it is particularly potent and will cause huge damage to the enemy.
