Is Suchet a good general in Evony?

Suchet was the second General, after Napoleon (Prime), to be released as part of the Evony crossover with the movie Napoleon. And, like his crossover counterpart, he arrives on the roster as a standout Ground PvP General. Indeed, his Special Skill, Duke of Albufera, can already be considered overpowered with buffs that include an extra 45% HP and attack to Ground Troops and a further 25% defense to Ground and Mounted Troops.

Although it is clear that his kit does buff Mounted Troops, you should ideally avoid having him lead a march for this troop type as he is quite underpowered in this area versus specialist Mounted PvP Generals. Likewise, it should be noted that most of his buffs are only active in attack and therefore he should not be used as a Defense General.

Suchet – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Duke of Albufera

Increases ground troops’ attack and HP by 45% and increases ground troops and mounted troops’ defense by 25% when General is leading the army to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Suchet will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ground Troop Attack +10%, Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP +15%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +10%.
• 3 Star – Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack +15%, March Size Capacity +6%.
• 4 Star – Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +15% and HP +20%.
• 5 Star – Marching Ground Troop Attack +25% and HP +35%.

Suchet – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

• Ground Troop Attack +10%
• Ground Troop HP +10%

Annihilation

• March Size Capacity +6%
• Attacking Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +10%

War God

• All Troops Attack +6%

Siege of Tarragona

• Marching Ground Troop Attack +40%
• Attacking Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Defense +30%
• Attacking Mounted Troop and Ground Troop HP +20%

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
