Is Godfrey of Bouillon a good general in Evony?

Godfrey of Bouillon is a super versatile General when it comes to his use of Range Troops. Although not the absolute best at either Ranged Attack or Ranged Defense, he is certainly in the top cohort, leaving him an interesting choice for a player who wants one General to cover both these roles. Indeed, apart from one of his specialties, all his buffs are active in both attack and defense and he has zero Skill Book restrictions in terms of what you can apply to him.

Godfrey of Bouillon – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

King of Jerusalem

Increases ranged troops’ attack and HP by 40% and ranged troops and siege machines’ defense by 10% when General is leading the army.

• 5 Star – Ranged Troop Attack +25%, HP and Defense +15%.

Ranged PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very range heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ranged attack whilst also topping up ranged troop HP and Defense via equipment refines. This build will ensure you do maximum damage, especially in the early game when players are quite mounted heavy.

Ranged Defense

A range defense build for players who are very range-focused or do not want the gem repair cost associated with siege machines. Although not as powerful as a siege defense, it is still very effective.

Siege and Ranged PvP

Due to this general’s buff to both ranged troops and siege machines, it can be a good play to run a mixed march with both troop types in certain scenarios. This build will work well for these situations. Siege range is prioritized over siege attack as siege attack is already very high with the additional range giving you some extra attacks before the enemy has you in their range.
