Is Miltiades a good general in Evony?

Miltiades is an exceptionally versatile Ground PvP General, who excels not only in Attack but also in Defense. His Special Skill, Athenian Phalanx, significantly boosts Ground Troop attack, defense, and HP, making him effective across the board. While he loses a 10% attack buff from his Annihilation Specialty when reinforcing or defending (as this buff is only active when attacking), all other buffs in his kit remain active at all times, ensuring consistent performance.

Miltiades – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Athenian Phalanx

Increases ground troops’ attack and HP by 45% and ground troops and mounted troops’ defense by 35% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Miltiades will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Ground Troop Attack +15% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +8%.
• 3 Star – Ground Troop Attack +10%, Defense and HP +10%.
• 4 Star – Enemy Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack -8%, March Size Capacity +8%.
• 5 Star – Ground Troop Attack +30%, Defense and HP +20%.

Miltiades – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
