Is Napoleon (Prime) a good general in Evony?

Napoleon (Prime) was the first General released to be a variant of an already existing General, Napoleon, and also the first General to be released as part of the Evony crossover with the movie Napoleon. This crossover also marked Evony’s seven-year celebration and as you’d therefore expect, Napoleon (Prime) does not disappoint in terms of his quality!

Indeed, he is an absolute beast when it comes to both Monster Hunting and Mounted PvP. His Special Skill, Napoleonic Wars, increases mounted attack by a huge 50% when he is leading the army to attack and also adds a further 30% to mounted defense and HP when he brings any Dragon or Spiritual Beast. This is stacks into a frankly insane buff for Mounted Troops, instantly making him into one of the best Generals for this troop type in the game.

Napoleon (Prime) – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Napoleonic Wars

Increases mounted troops’ attack by 50% when General is leading the army to attack. Increases mounted troops’ defense and HP by 30% when General brings any Dragon or Spiritual Beast to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Napoleon (Prime) will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack +10%, Defense and HP +5%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +10%.
• 3 Star – Marching Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack +15%, March Size Capacity +8%.
• 4 Star – Marching Mounted Troop Defense +25% and HP +30%.
• 5 Star – Marching Mounted Troop Attack +35% and Defense +30%.

Napoleon (Prime) – Specialities

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and march size via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double-item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage but the double drops are good compensation.

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher-mounted buff. Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and speed for a mounted PvP march.
