Is Stephen the Great a good general in Evony?

Stephen the Great is a pure Evony Duty General that should be placed in the Research Factory if you are lucky enough to get him. His special skill, Holy Ruler, will increase Research Speed by 10% and in-city troop Defense and HP by 15% when he is assigned this role and should not be missed.

Stephen the Great – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Holy Ruler

Increases research speed by 10% and in-city troops’ defense and HP by 15% when general is the Research Factory Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Stephen the Great will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Research Factory Officer, Research Speed +4%, In-city Troop HP +20%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Research Factory Officer, Research Speed +6%, In-city Troop Defense +25%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Research Factory Officer, In-city Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +15%, Defense and HP +20%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Research Factory Officer, Enemy Siege Machine Attack -15%, Defense and HP -25%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Research Factory Officer, Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +15%, Defense +20%.

Stephen the Great – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

• Enemy Troop Attack -10%

Sage (Applied to Research Factory Officer)

• Research Speed +5%
• In-city Troop Defense +5%

Battle of Vaslui (Applied to Research Factory Officer)

• Research Speed +5%
• In-city Troop Attack +10%
• Enemy Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack -20%

Stephen the Great – Builds

As a pure Evony Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building.
