Is James Conrad a good general in Evony?

James Conrad was introduced to the game as part of Evony’s first ever crossover event with Kong Skull Island. His introduction to the game did prove somewhat controversial at the time due to the artwork introducing modern-style technology which had until this point not been part of the Evony universe.

However, despite this, this General is a very exciting option for those who can pick him up. He is a pure Evony Ranged PvP General and although his attack isn’t the highest in the game his huge HP buff more than makes up for this.

Unfortunately, James Conrad’s buffs are only active in attack and therefore should never be used in defense. In addition, much of his ranged attack buff comes from the final specialty and he can therefore be expensive to get the most out of.

James Conrad – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Jungle Tracker

Increases ranged troops’ attack by 30% and ranged troops’ defense and HP by 35% when General is leading the army to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended James Conrad will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Marching Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Enemy In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – When attacking, Ranged Troop Attack +10%, March Size Capacity +10%.
• 4 Star – Marching Ranged Troop Attack and Siege Machine Defense +15% and HP +15%.
• 5 Star – Marching Ranged Troop Attack +20%, Defense and HP +20%.

James Conrad – Builds

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ranged PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very range heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ranged attack whilst also topping up ranged troop HP and Defense via equipment refines.

This build will ensure you do maximum damage, especially in the early game when players are quite mounted heavy. You can alternatively swap March Size for Ranged Troop HP if you want to give your Ranged troops a bit more durability.

• Lvl 4 Ranged Troop Range Bonus – Ranged Troop Range +100
