Is Ulysses S Grant a good general in Evony?

One of the best Siege Generals in the game, Ulysses S Grant has a huge Siege Machine attack once all specialties have been maxed out. Additionally, for low spenders, he makes a better option than Napoleon as he relies less on specialty buffs. He is also now available in the Tavern.

His attack buff is active when attacking and defending, so can make a great Siege Defense General too.

Ulysses S Grant – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Federal Commander

Increases siege machines and mounted troops’ attack by 15% when General is leading the army, and another 15% when General brings any dragon.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Ulysses S Grant will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Siege Machine and Mounted Troop Attack +5%.
• 2 Star – Enemy In-city Troop Wounded into Death rate +10%.
• 3 Star – March Size Capacity +14%.
• 4 Star – Siege Machine and Mounted Troop Defense +20%.
• 5 Star – Siege Machine and Mounted Troop Attack +5% and extra +10% with Dragon.

Everything for this build is focused on improving a very heavy siege march. This is likely only viable for big spenders as the gem repair cost could be very high. However, it is particularly potent and will cause huge damage to the enemy.

• Lvl 4 Siege Machine Range Bonus – Siege Machine Range +200
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%

Siege Defense
