Is Subutai a good general in Evony?

Although Subutai cannot have a Ranged Attack Skill Book applied to him, he still easily makes it into the top tier of Ranged PvP Generals. His Special Skill, Mongol Conquest, is stacked and Ranged Troop attack by 40% and Ranged Troop HP and Defense by 20%. He can also be used effectively as a Ranged Defense General.

Subutai – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Mongol Conquest

Increases ranged troops’ attack by 40% and increases ranged troops’ defense and HP by 20% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Subutai will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +10%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +10%.
• 3 Star – Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +10%, March Size Capacity +8%.
• 4 Star – Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +20% and HP +15%.
• 5 Star – Ranged Troop Attack +25% and Defense +20%.

Subutai – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ranged PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very range heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ranged attack and ranged HP via equipment refines and skill books.

This build will ensure you do maximum damage, especially in the early game when players are quite mounted heavy, whilst also maintaining a very durable ranged march.
