Is Ludwig a good general in Evony?

Although Ludwig doesn’t have the highest Ground Troop HP in the game, he makes up for it with an insane amount of Ground Attack and Defense! This makes him a terrifying prospect for any Keep you launch an attack on.

Despite his Special Skill only being active in attack, he can also do a job as a Ground Defense General. However, it should be noted that this relies upon you maxing out his specialties which can be very costly. If you don’t plan on doing this, then you are better off going with one of the other Wall Defense options.

Ludwig – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Please note, that this General can be ascended through the Evony General Ascending feature. Each ascended star level will add an additional buff to the General’s Special skill. Read our Evony General Ascending Guide for more details on Evony General Ascension.

Ludwig – Builds

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General.

It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
